There are many different forms of business from retailers to service providers. Some businesses require an office location others are located at home and rely on the phone to reach their target market, while some actually travel to meet clients at the client location. And more and more often, businesses are emerging on the Internet.

While fewer businesses reside solely on the Internet, it does happen. One particular source of revenue that I myself have recently began pursuing is that of an Information Marketing Business. So what is Information Marketing? It is just that, exactly what it sounds like. Marketing your information. Basically, an information marketing business can thrive because of one fundamental reason, “TIME”. Technically it’s the lack of time that will help you promote your information marketing business. So many people out there are looking for information such as training or strategies and need it quickly in a convenient format. The trick is coming up with a particular group with high interest in a particular topic and coming up with a good way to deliver it.

I started thinking one day about the vast amount of experience I have gained in so many different areas of life. First I am a Mother to 5 children ages 7 to 24 all born by natural childbirth, I own my own Internet Marketing & Web Design business, I own and operate multiple blogs, own 2 online gift basket stores in the top of search engines, I am a martial artist, ballroom dancer, PTO Mom, Artist, Graphic Designer, writer, Second Life resident, and an avid scrapbooker! Do you realize how many informational packets that type of experience could create?

I’ve started the Information Marketing side of my business by releasing an e-Book called “Making Money Online with Gift Basket Stores“. For the moment I’ve listed it on ebay while I am busy creating the website to market it. The e-Book is 32 pages and covers how to start a gift store online, how to manage customers and orders, how to get into search engines and comes with a list of drop ship and wholesale suppliers. The book took me approximately 2 weeks to write and it’s information that if I would have had it when I started my stores, would have made my life much easier!

I plan on following that e-book with a series of others that explain various ways to make money online. I would be out of business without the Internet and I am eager to share with others how a “real person” has actually made a living through multiple “online marketing” strategies.

If you are wondering what information you have to sale, just ask yourself “What is it that you are good at and people are always asking you about?” Chances are you have have enough knowledge and experience to compose an instructional guide, or information packet on the subject.
